Are you a Physical Therapist who loves working with pregnant and postpartum patients? Do you want to do the work you love, while maintaining work/life balance and pursuing your passions? Madrona PT in Tacoma, WA is actively seeking a permanent, full or part-time, physical therapist with a passion for providing pregnancy and postpartum support.
We care about our clinician’s mental and physical health and have created a more realistic working environment for our therapists.
At Madrona, you can earn MORE than other full-time therapists while working just 27-32 hours weekly! Our office is closed on Fridays and has flexible schedule options. Full benefits are offered with a 27+ hour schedule so you can have your needs met, while maintaining a sensible work life balance.
Madrona is a locally owned, private practice clinic in Tacoma, WA using a self-pay model. We work 1:1 with our patients, helping them achieve lasting results and move toward their highest health potential. Sessions are 60 minutes, with breaks and charting time built into your day. A full schedule includes just 7-8 patients/day, dependent upon your chosen schedule. Not only do we have private treatment rooms, but a large gym as well, so you can do the full range of activities with your patients, to not only help them reduce symptoms, but thrive!
Minimum Requirements Include:
Washington state PT License.
1 year experience working with pregnancy and post-partum patients in an outpatient, orthopedic or pelvic health setting preferred.
Completion of a level 1 pelvic health class, such as those taught by, but not limited to, Herman and Wallace and Academy of Pelvic Health curriculum.
Completion of a pregnancy and a post-partum class, such as those taught by, but not limited to, Herman and Wallace and Academy of Pelvic Health curriculum.
Interest and passion in working with female physiology and biopsychosocial issues unique to the childbirth experience.
Desire to provide care outside the constraints of the insurance-focused care model.
Clinical Skill Development and Benefit Highlights:
For the right candidate, the company will assist financially in the completion of the pregnancy/postpartum or pelvic health classes prior to start date as part of hiring package.
Salary range is $50-70 per hour DOE, with productivity bonuses. Madrona is a cash pay/out-of-network clinic, so we are not limited by insurance reimbursement to adequately pay our physical therapists.
Scheduled weekly mentoring with a board-certified clinical specialist in women’s health physical therapy.
Relocation allowance available for anyone outside the Tacoma area if hired.
Benefits package is available and included with a 27-32+ hour work week.
Continuing education budget of $1,500 annually, where you get say in the classes you take.
Generous PTO budget.
Flexible weekly work schedules.

1+ years of experience treating pelvic disorders.

Desire to teach wellness classes and develop wellness programs related to pregnancy, post-partum, osteoporosis, pelvic pain, and athletic injury prevention.
